STATE MARKETING SCHEME WELLINGTON, October 5. The necessity for completing the supervision of the new marketing department and negotiations in connection with the zoning of the dairy industry will prevent Mr George A. Duncan, acting-Direetor of the Marketing Department, accompanying the Minister for Marketing the Hon. W. Nash) to England. The Minister said to-day that lie desired Mr Duncan to go with him, hut in view of the position in New Zealand he had reluctantly decided that it was more desirable for Mr Duncan to remain in the Dominion to direct, and supervise the inauguration of the marketing of butter and cheese under th e guaranteed prices plan.

“Th£re are matters of importance and urgency at present before the Marketing Department and more are likely to arise within the next lew months, 'and consideration of these would to some extent be prejudiced if the Director of the Department and myself were both absent from the Dominion,” said Mr Nash. “One of the problems is the supply of butter boxes and cheese crates.
