DEATH IN HOSPITAL.
RACING STABLE VICTIM. (By Telegraph—Per Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 29. Kicked in the stomach by a horse last Tuesday, Henry Nicholas, a married man, aged forty-eight years, died in the Christchurch Hospital on Saturday morning. Nicholas, who was employed at the stables of Albert Wilasn, a horse-strainer in Racecourse Road, was admitted to the hospital oti Tuesday suffering from severe internal injuries. He was working be tween two horses, it is stated, when they began to kick and while struggling with them he received a kick in the stomach. He was taken immediately to the hospital, where he slowly became worse.
An inquest was opened before Mr IT. P. La wry, Coroner, when Constable Irwin, of North Beach, gave evidence of identification. Nicholas, who was a married man, resided at 13, Ida street, New Brighton. The inquest was adjourned sine die.
