SYDNEY, Feb. 15
The committee appointed last year to inquire into the possibilities of the manufacture of finished paper in New South Wales from waste wheat and rice straws, reports an extensive and profitable industry could be established. Based on the use of such material after allowing lor other needs, 750,600 tons, of wheat strawwould be avialable annually, producing 330, 0Q0 tons of paper worth ’oveiV,J9io,oo(),,boo. This is much more than the consumption re-, quij-ed of Australia and New Zealand. Good .cartridge-paper could he made from rice straw.

He had as a passenger Senator Duncan, who received severe cuts, and injured his shoulder, but is recovering. Air Hughes deceived abrasions and a shaking.
