" The death Occurred yesterday, at the residence oi James Campbell, Otakeho, of an old identity in the person of Henry William Ellerm. Born at the Lower Hutt in 1853, he came to reside on the '.Waimate Plains 38 years ago. He then took up a small piece of land on the Upper Winks Road, Ma- . naia, where he resided until four years ) ago. He acted in the capacity of stock egent at .Maaaia for many years, starting with Messrs Budge and Good, then with Messrs Stewart and Corrigan and Gillies and Nalder, and then the Farmers" tto-op # until two years ago. He was a member of ±he first band formed in Manaia, playing the tenor horn. At the time of his death he was a member of the Sheep Dog Trial Society, Otakeho Farmers' Union, and the Manaia Horticultural Society.' "Harry," as he was popularly called, will 'be missed by a large circle of friends in the district.
