(BY TELEGRAPH —PRESB ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 5. s Mr Widdowson, S.M., gave judgment for £25 damages and £11 12s costs in the case in which Charles H. Grace, farmer, sued Alfred Lewis, described as a masseur and therapeutist, for the return, of a fee of £25 paid in respect of a written guarantee to cure deafness in nine months. Lewis did not defend the action. William Knight, a farmer, was also /given judgment against Lewis for £30 in respect of a written guarantee to cure varicose veins.
