AMENDMENTS TO ARBITRATION ACT.
PROPER ACCOUNTS MUST BE KEPT.
(By Telegraph—Special to the Star.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 5. Industrial unions, according to the amendment of the Arbitraiton Act introduced by the Minister of Labour, must keep proper accounts and submit an annual balance-sheet to the Registrar, who has power to order accounts to be submitted to a public auditor. Union accounts are to be open to members ' inspection. Entrance fee is limited to five shillings and no levy shall be payable until the person has been, at least one month a member. County councils and road boards are to' be exempt from awards unless they make application to be incliiHAH.
