KAPONGA (6) v. STRATFORD (3).

The senior A grade match Kaponga v. Stratford wr.s a hard struggle from start to finish, find, although Kaponga won by 6 to 3. they only crossed Stratford's line onro. The game was very even throughout, being mostly confined to forward play. The Stratford backs got going several times, and handled the ball splendidly, looking very dangerous at times, but were unable to cross the line. In the first* spell Malono kicked a fine goal from a penalty, and M. Lvnskev, from a scramble, snapped up the ball and dashed over, no goal resulting. After a fine passing rush by Stratford in the second spell Sharack

secured and got over. The major points were not obtained, the game ending Kaponga 6, Stratford 3.
