' At Inglewood, on 9th inst., we re- ' port a heavy yarding of cattle and a good one of sheep. The demand for the latter class was of a dragging tendency, but the whole offering was eventually cleared at the hammer, prices showing little movement. Young steers and grown bullocks comprised the bulk of the cattle offering, the former being practically neglected, whilst the latter in the cases of pens showing plenty of condition and age met with fair enquiry. Store cows, weaners, etc., realised present ruling rates. Lambs 7s 6d to 9s 3d,-forward do. 13s 2d to 15s, fat lambs 235, 2-tooth wethers 16s 6d, 4 and 6-tooth do. 16s lid, mixed aged ewes 7s lOd to lis Bd, fat ewes 21s, empty heifers £3 12s 6d to £4 lis, store cows (aged and in light condition) £2 12s 6d to £3 los, better sorts £4 15s to £5 10s, fat cows £7 12s 6d, 4year bullocks £8 10s to £9, boner bulls £3 7s 6d *to £4 7s 6d.

# At Uruti sale and sheep fair, on 11th mat., we report a full yarding of sheep of good quality throughout. Buyers attended in strong numbers, and a good clearance was made, prices being equalto those ruling elsewhere, with the exception of lambs, which were a shade easier. Fatteners operated freely on forward conditioned sheep, and this class and the good framed breeding ewe on the day were mostly in demand. There was a good offering of cattle, but enquiry was almost lifeless.
