' Dr. Truby King has cabled announc-i ing his safe arrival at Liverpool. The Yen. Archdeacon Reeva who conducted the services in St. Mary's Church yesterday, returned to Wanganui by this morning's express train. Inspector Hendry, in charge of "the Wanganui police district, who has been on a short visit to this district, returned to Wanganui this morning. The inspector was in Hawera on Friday. Archdeacon Evan1 of New Plymouth, went through by express train en route for the Territorial camt» at Wanganui. He expects to return on Monday. The gold medals awarded by the Associated Board of R.A.M. and R.C.M. for highest passes in 1917 were awarded in New Zealand to Eileen Clifford, of New Plymouth centre (advanced grade) and Beatrice Brittain, of Wel- • lington centre (intermediate grade). | Eileen Clifford also gained an Exhibil tion, tenable for three years in London.
