LAND SALE.
On Thursday the Farmers' Co-opera-tive Organisation Society submitted to auction 290 acres of land at Pihama in the estate of tlie late Mr Thomas Struthers. There was a good attendance of buyers, and bidding was keen. The sale was most successful, all, the eight sections being disposed of under1 the hammer. The total price realised was £15,957 ss, and the highest individual figure reached was £72 per acre. The following are the particulars of the sale: Lot 1, 40 acres —J. F. Stevenson, £51 per acre. i Lot 2, 38 acres 2 roods—J. F. Stevenson, £55 10s Per acre. Lot 3, 25 acres—A. McKeown, £33 ' per acre. . | Lot 4, 50 acres —J. F. Stevenson, •. £72 per acre. . 1 1 Lot 5, "50 acres—A. J. Allan, £67 10s per acre. 1 Lot 6, 36 acres—A. J. Allan, £63 per acre. Lot 7, 25 acres—W. Hathaway, £38 per acre. « Lot 59, 25 acres—A. McKeown, £29 1 per acre.
