SUPPLYING LOCAL MARKETS. (By Telegraph— Special to Star.) * WELLINGTON, March 27. .Representatives of dairying interests conferred with the Premier and the Hon. W. D. S. MacDbnald, Minister ot Agriculture, regarding a scheme for supplying >iew Zealand's butter consumption during the winter. It is understood that the dairy producers could ni°T SSS? 6 ,upon any arrangement, the old difficulty regarding local marketing profits and prospective surplus divisible from Imperial sales in England cropping up. . ' . It is probable that the Government and the Imperial Purchase Committee will evoive an arrangement for ensuring local supplies during the winter without increasing the prices. The scheme will be a modification of the present system, or purchase direct from Imperial stocks neld m the Dominion. *
