Messrs James and Gilhnan, land and financial, agents, Hawera, have effected the following sales during the last tew weeks:—loQo acres of'sheep and dairying land, Cambridge district, to MiDavid Kemp, Kakaramea; Mr Harper's dairy farm of 150 acres, Te Roti, to Mr Grantham, of Elthani; Mr T. \V. Owen's farm of 252 acres, Otakeho, to Mr Harper, of Te Roti; Mr D. Kemps fine dairy farm of 313 acres, Kakaramea, to a Palmerston client; 76 acres dairying land, Patea, to an Otakeho client; 396 acres, Whangarei, to Mr McDonald, s^ recent arrival from Ireland; 94 acres leasehold, Te Rotipto Mr Kelsen, of Normanby; 83 acres of Mr W. C. Phillips' farm, Inaha, to Mr McCalluin, of Okaiawa; 50 acres of same farm to an Aiiroa client; approximately 400 acres, Whakatane, Bay of Plenty, to a Wellington investor; a business site of 40ft frontage, Bridge street, Eltham, to a local investor; * quarter-acre sections and two acre sections, Hawera, extension,-..t0 local investors; Mr MeCa'llum's dairy farm ot 100 acres, Okaiawa, with machines, etc., to Mr Tippett, of Normanby; 640 acres, Te Kuiti, to an Otakeho cnent; dwelling-house, South road, Hawera. to Mrs Norton, of Manaia; Mr Sheppard's awellmg-house, Furlong street, to a local investor; two dwelling sites, Cameron street, to Mr Downey, of Hawera, and three building sites in one week. At present there is a strong demand for town and suburban building sites and dwelling-houses; also an increasing demand for leasehold dairy farms in small areas, and freehold dairy farms on easy terms. The client for farm lands with big capital is still a stranger to Taranaki.
