A CYCLIST KILLED. BY TELEGRAPH— PRESS ASSOCIATION. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 30. John Alexander Gribben, eighteen years of age, whflst cycling along Worcester street about 10 o'clock this morning, met with an accident, which, terminated fatally. He was riding wests Ward between the tramway lines, when he was met by [two cyclists going in the opposite direction, also riding between the tram lines. All the cyclists turned off from the lines to their proper sides of the road, but Gribben got too far over the wheel, his machine skidded, aiid he was thrown off, his left temple striking the edge of the kerbing. He was wearing toe-clips at the time, which probably prevented his getting free of the machine before he fell. He was taken to a medical man's residence in the vicinity but was found to be dead. ANGLICAN MISSION. CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 30. The general mission of the Anglican Church has concluded in several parishes but in others it only started last night. Great interest continues to be shown in the services, and in response to many representations it has been decided to continue one of the men's services at the Cathedral from Tuesday till Friday next, and women's services will be continued ' to-morrow and Tuesday. AMBULANCE SATURDAY. WELLINGTON, Oct. 30. The annual street collections in aid of the St. John's Ambulance Association funds took place yesterday, when -about fifty persons gave their services for the day. The amount collected was £126 15s Id, as compared with £300 on Ambulance Saturday last year.
