DUNEDIN, December 1. Fat Cattle : 140 yarded. . The quality was only medium, with odd pens ' of prime bullocks. Owing to the small entry prices showed an advance of from os to 10s per head. Best bullocks £9 10s to £1§ 10s, extra heavy £11 7s 6rl to £12, good £8 to £9, light £6 lO.s to £7 10s, best cows and heifers £7 to £8, medium to good £5 10s to £6 10s, ligbt and inferior £3 15s to £4 15s. , Sheep : 2438 yarded — a medium yarding of fair quality, the' greater proportion being shorn. J?ribes were much the same as those ruling last week. Best woolly wethers 21s 22s 6d, extra to 25s 6d, medium 18s 6d to 20s, inferior 16s to 17s, best shorn 15,s to J6s, oxtra to 17s 3d, medium 13s to 14s, inferior 12s to 12s 6d, best woolly ewes to 225, medium 17s to 18s, shorn ewes 12s to 13s, medium to 9s 6d. Lambs : 448 yarded — a fair yarding. Prices showed a slight advance as compared with those of last week, but a slight easing-off was noticeable towards the end of the sale. Best up to 16s 6d, medium to 13s, inferior to 10s. A few of extra quality sold up to 17s 6d. . Pigs : There was a large yarding, 180 boing forward. The quality, especially of porkers and baconors was extra good, , but, owing to the large numbers coming forward, and the weather being too warm for curing, heavy pigs showed a drop of 10s to 15s' on late rates. Suckers 16s to 19s, stores 23s to 30s, porkers 33s to 38s, light baconers 43s to 465, heavy 48s to 535. Butter and Cheese. — Buyers who are on the look out for monthly lines ,re- j port a reduction of tiheir limits from 10|d to 10 5-Bti. There appears to bo a little difficulty with regard to space, and some cheese will be shut out by tho lonic, sailing to-morrow. The Rimutaka, however,' left with some space unoccupied, owing to short shipment. The matter is, however, expected to be shortly adjusted ; in the meantime some inconvenience is being experienced by shippers. The Kia Qra, which left on Sunday, took butter only. Consignments of cheese secured for the season are reported as under: — J. J. Lonsdale 6000 tons, Wright, Stevenson 4700 tons, Lovell and Christmas 4000 tons, J. W. MacEwan and Co., 2000 tons, Lane and Co., 1000 tons. — Wellington Post.
