Nbw PiiTMouxfl, July 20. At Stratford, on Tuesday, there was a good muster ef stook, an unusually large number of heifers, mostly springers, being yarded. Biddirg for this class, however, was very dull, and prices considerably lower than previous sales. One or two lots, very forward and extra quality, were the exception, but prices for these were not as good as a few weeks back. I had enquiries for 18-months empty heifers, but very few offered ; steers and young oattle were also scarce. Calves made 21s ; 12 to 15-months steers (inferior quality), 82s 8d; 18 to 20-months empty heifers, L 2 Is L 2 8s; 2 wringers, L2 l6s to L3 l7s 6d ; store cows, 1 Is to L 2; fat do., L 2 15s to L 3 7s (Sd. F.m. ewes in lamb, 8s Bd.

At Waiwakaiho, on Thursday, there was rather a small muster of stock, mostly dairy cattle." Very few young oattle were yarded, and bidding for these was very keen, and excellent prices were obtained. Dairy cows and springing heifers were in fair demand, and nearly all sold at satisfactory rates. Calves made 16s to 26b; calves to yearlings, 88s 6d; 12 to 18months steers, £2 ; heifers in calf, £2 to £2 8s; springers, £2 15s to £8 ss ; extra choice well-bred do., £8 15s to £4 15s ; Store cows, 29b to 455; fat do., £2 12s to £8 3b.

Land.— l have to report having leased 1858 acres at Mokau to Mr Rothery ; Mr Fox's 126 acre farm at Okato to Mr Wm. Avery ; and 100 acre farm at Inglewood on account of Mr O. Leech to Mr W. E. Miles.
