HF^l! ' Net? Plymott- j, May 5. At Stratford on T -esday thrve was a good muster of stock. Not many small cattle were yarded, the majority being 2 to 3-year steers. Small calves were dull of sale, but good strong 12 to 18-month cattle were in be'ter demand, and most of this class were sold at satisfactory rates. There were not many buyers for big steers, though several pens were quitted, buye?s having the best of it. Good calves made 29s to 34s 6d, 12 to 18-month steers £2 to £2 5s 6d, 2 to 3-year do £3 Is to £4 4s 6d, 18-month hei "ers £2 14s, 2-year do £3 0s 6d to L 3 ss, store cows L 3 to L 3 8s 6d, fat ditto L 4 $3 ] to L 4 12s 6d, springers L 5 to L 6. j JSWaiwakaiho, — On Thursday, owing to the heavy rain, there was only a Bmall muster of stock, but nearly everything sold at fair prices. Calves made 18s to 28s, 18-month mixed L 2 12s 6d, heifers L 2 43 6d, 2 to 2fr-yeax steers L 3 4s 6d, good 3 to Siyear do L 4 16s, springing heifers L 3 17s 6d to L 4 2s 6d, fa£ cows L 3 17s to L 4 ss, store do L 2 17s to L 3 3s, woolly lambs 6s 6d, good full-mouth ewes 6s, fat wethers 11s 4d. MESSRS. F. R:'SiAOKSON~AND CO.'S STOCK^REPORT. About the usual number of stock came forward at Waverly.- At Wanganui we^had a full entry of cattle and a fair one of sheep. Cattle were well competed for, and we sold nearly all' that was entered. Sheep met fair competition at current rates. We quote :— Cattle. — At -Waverley— Milch cows, £5 to £5 10s ; heifers, £3 8s to £A 17s ; steers, £2 9s to £3 ss ; bullocks, £A 12s 6d; mixed yearlings, £2 12s 6d. Sheep.— -At TVaverley— Store inferior wethers, 9a ; ewes, 6s to 7s j lambs, 5s 6d to 6a. At Wanganui— Fat wethers, 13s to 13s 3d ; store wethers, 11s 6d j small half- , fat ewes, 8s 9d ; full mouth ewes, 5s 6d to 63 6d. Pigs.— Baconers, 30s to 435 ; porkers, 14s 7d to 21s 6d ; small pigs, 2s 6d to 8s 6d. MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN'S REPORT. Auckland, May 6. Cattle— The supply ' of store cattle has not been as large as on the previous week, but fat and dairy stocks have been well represented. Prices for fat beasts were in favour of the vendor. At Newmarket »nd Papakura beef ranged from 19s to 22s per lOOlbs. A draft of heavy oxen from Mr J. Given, of The Pollock, averaged £Q 6s 6d. Some other averages were £7 Bs, £7 ss, £7,, £6 7s 6d, £4> 8s 3d, £4> 7s 6d. Sheep— Wethers sold at from 12s 6d to 16s eachj, ewe 3, 8s 6d to 11s; lambs, 5s 6d to lls. Pigs were yarded in increased numbers, but many of them were rough, and sold at from 14a to 26s each ; weanera, 4s to 9s.
