(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) WELLINGTON, November 22. TARANAKI HARBOR. Auckland and Dunedin squabbles occupied all tbe evening, and the Opunake Harbor Board Bill which was on the paper was not reached. An attempt was made to bring on the motion for the appointment oi tbe select committee to enquire into the Taranaki Harbor question, owing to the recent troubles, the motion has got a long way down the paper ; and Mr. Samuel asked the House to take it out of tbe ordinary course, but this could not be done except by the unanimous consent. Major Atkinson pointed oat that it was a very important matter, and urged that the House ought to consent; but Mr. Fish declined to give way, and the Speaker ruled that the question could not be pat. Major Atkinson said that it was very necessary that tbe House should make enquiry, and it would be the duty of the Government to see that an enquiry was held. The matter then dropped.
