THE BAZAAR.
The committee of the Church of England Bitzanv, which is to be held on Friday and Saturday next, give iv another column some idea of what will be offered for sale; and they also specially invite contributions from settlers. It is thought that many persons would prefer giving in kiud to contributing c. sh, and as the result to the committee will be the same, subscr.ptionsof this character are solicited. The bazaar seems to be creating v. gcod deal of inteiest, and no doubt there will be a large attendance, not only of Hawera people, but of residents in the surrounding districts. A special train on the Saturday evening has been spoken of, and no doubt could easily be arranged for if residents along the line were desirous of such a concession. It would be a pleasant outing, and if people had the opportunity of travelling to Hawera and back the same evening at Saturday fares, many might avail themselves of it. If sufficient inducement offered, and would-be passengers made their wishes known either to the committee or to the railway officials, the concession could doubtless be obtained.
