(from ottr own coerespondent.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The division will probably take place on Tuesday. It is expected that the Government will secure the votes of forty-five, and the Opposition forty-two members. The Government have put on a spurt, and are stronger than they were. NEW PLYMOUTH, Last Night. The natives when visiting Te Whiti at Parihaka gave him In donations over
£'500 in money. Te Whiti's influence over the natives is in no way diminishing; in fact, an old chief who was at the meeting was heard to remark that no native ever had such power over a number of Maoris as Te Whiti and Tohu have at the present time. Mrs. Tucker was thrown from her horse and dislocated her thigh. Bichard Jury fell from the top of a dray-load of potatoes, when the wheel of the cart went over his body. There were twenty- two hundredweight of potatoes in the dray. He is severely hurt.
