Messrs. Bauchope and King report:—On Thursday we held our fortnightly cattle sole at Waiwakaiho. The muster of stock ■was an improvement on )asfc sa)e, and bidflhig more brislr. Fat cattle sold well, but very few calves came forward. Several horses were offered, but bidding for these was very alack. The following prices were obtained:—ls calves from JBI 11s to £2 7s 6d; 10 yearlings, £2 7s 6d to £3 15s; 1 steer, £5 7s 6(1; 2 heifers, M; 1 do, £6 7s 6d; 2 do, £4,155; cows, M 12s 6d, £Q, £3, Jif), £4 10s; 2 poor cows, with, calves, £3 10a each; 20 fat Hawera steers, £$; 1 pair bullocks, £16 ss, £\Q 109; 1 odd bullock, £7; 1 back, £5 ss; mare and foal, .£l3; 1 old horse, £110s; 1 dray, .£6 12s 6d;ldo, £3.
