The survey dispute between the natives on Mr. Piriii's land has been amicably settled.
Grahamstown, Friday night.
A boy named Syms, ten years of age, being thirsty, went into a cordial manulactory, and took up a jug containing oil of vitriol, and drank a quantity. He was taken to the hospital, and strong alkalis administered, but it is doubtful if he will survive.
Christchttrch, Friday night.
Only about 200 railway employees attended the mass meeting called for last night. The committee were absent, and the proceedings were very disorderly, affording clear evidence that the employees are utterly disorganised, and all fears of a strike are at an end.
