Melbourne, Tuesday. Ned Kelly was again brought up at the Police Court yesterday, and remanded. Parliament was formally opened today. The Governor's speech referred to the decrease hi the revenue, and expressed a hope that a satisfactory solution of tho Reform question would be arrived at. It announces measures for railway extension, water conservation, and an amendment of the laws.

The Victorian Government have accepted the tender of the Phoenix Company, Ballarat, for the construction of twenty locomotives, at a cost of £59,490. A terrible tragedy took place at the Opera House duriug a performance on Saturday evening. A young Irishman named Greer shot at his wife and a French - man named Soudry, and afterwards 6hot himself. The cause of the act was jealousy of Soudry. All are dangerously wounded, Greer being mortally co. Adelaide, Tuesday. Wheat steady at 4s 2d ; flour inactive, at £d 15s.

Sydney, Tuesday.

Hennessy's brandy in bulk and quarters, 10s 8d; kerosene, Devoe's, Is 2d; maize, Is lOd to 2s 3d. The Victoria Theatre, which was destroyed by fire on Friday, was uninsured, The loss is estimated at £12,000.

An extensive fire ocmirred in Georgestreet at midnight on Saturday. The premises of Messrs. Gordon and Gotch, the well-known news agents, and others adjoining, wore totally destroyed. The total loss is estimated at £10,000. There are heavy insurances on the buildings.
