The following are some further par* ticulars of the bank robbery at Quirindi : —At 10 o'clock at night the -manager of the Commercial Bank, at Quirindi, was working late, and, on going to his stable to feed his horse, was bailed-up by three masked robbers, with revolvers. . - Contrary to rule, he had in his possession the key of the safe, which should have been nightly handed to the sergeant of police. He managed to drop the key while being conveyed to the bank, and pretended, he had it not. Ultimately he was intimidated into saying where it was, and the safe was ransacked. The robbers having drunk a bettle of whisky, became violent. The manager's wife and sister were bailed up with him, and £485* was taken, half in gold. The men overlooked £2000 in notes, and departed about 1 o'clock in the morning.
