London, May 31. The ships Wanganui and Opawa have arrived from New Zealand. The match between the Australian cricketers and eighteen of Rochdale (Lancashire) was resumed on Friday. There was only a moderate attendance of the the pubh'c, but the weather was fine throughout the day. The home team, who at the close of the first day's play, had eight wickets down for 45 runs, resumed then: innings, and were soon all disposed of for a total of 92 runs. Boyle, the Australian, bowled splendidly, and took ten of the Rochdale wickets. The Australians then went in, and when the stumps were drawn for the day had seven wickets down for 194 runs. MacDonnell had contributed. 99 towards the score, when he was given out "leg before wicket." His innings was a very fine one. The match was concluded on Saturday, the Australians winning in one innings and 26 runs, and thus scored then* fourth victory. At the wool sale on the 28th instant, 8500 bales were offered, making a total of 309,200 bales catalogued since the opening. The tone of the sale showed a firm active demand.
