GIRLS’ LIFE BRIGADE

* SPECIAL RECRUITING WEEK

The Girls’ Life Brigade movement, which is one of the finest of our time, is holding a special recruiting week from June 6 to 13. Founded in 1902 and established in New Zealand 21 years ago. it is the oldest uniformed movement in the world and in New Zealand alone has a membership of 7000. The girls of the G.L.B. are trained in every worthwhile sphere—spiritual, physical, social and educational—and the wide scope of the movement pro-' rides opportunities for each girl to do the things that she likes best. Special activities are being held during this week in this district. Girls in the local companies are taking part in church parades, hikes, and demonstrations of their programmes.

It is the ambition of the movement to expand tremendously and every girl is cordially invited to. join the organisation.
