EPUNI WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

RESIGNATION OF PRESIDENT The monthly meeting of the Epuni branch of the Women’s Institute was held in the Rossiter Avenue Church Hall. Mrs. Sissons presiding in the absence of Mrs. Scott. Mrs. Prestige gave a report on the National Council meeting and Mrs. Collard gave a very comprehensive report on the Institute’s travel trip to Taupo, Rotorua, Tokaanu, and Wailcaremoana.

The Garden Circle bad a day in Wellington’s Botanical Gardens to see the tulips, which' were j very beautiful. '

Members were sorry to hear that the president had resigned, but hope that she will see her way to be with the Institute again soon. The Institute meets on the third Thursday in each month, and new members would be welcomed. The competition for the month was a jar of marmalade, which was won by Mrs. McKinley. The best flower in the garden was produced by Mrs. McKinley.
