/iIOO FROM YOUNG HELPERS Well over £IOO wa,s realised as a result of the opening of money boxes at a party given in honour of “Barnardo's Helpers” at the Waterloo School assembly hall recently. Nearly 400 children were present, including pupils from Eastern Hutt, with Miss Thorpe as secretary; Boulcott School, Mrs. Ryder, secretary; Hutt Central, Miss Lopdell, secretary; Waiwhetu School, Miss Heggie, secretary; and Waterloo School, Mrs. Stevens, secretary. Mrs. R. Bagnail is president of tire Hutt group.

The Dominion secretary thanked the children and the committee of the Waterloo School for their help.
