CHANGE OF NAME
AVA TOWNS WOMEN'S GUILD
At the last meeting of the Alicetown Townswomeii's Guild, which was presided over by Mrs. Cox, there was a very good r attendance. > It was unanimously agreed to change the name from Alicetown to Ava Townswomen's Guild.
The guests for the afternoon were the Petone Women's Choir, under the direction of Mrs. Millward, who delighted everyone with a bracket of songs. The choir sang several items, which were thoroughly enjoyed. Two members, Mrs. Veitch and Mrs. Morgan, gave a very amusing duologue. A box of flowers was presented to Mrs. Millward and posies to the other performers. Mrs. Dixon won the cup for. the best flower, and Mrs. Clarke gave the thought for-the month.
After- afternoon tea the meetiug closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
