PETONE HOME LEAGUE
LOWER HUTT VISITORS A visit from the Lower Hutt League, accompanied by Brigadier Mrs. Hughson and Mrs. Captain Rundle, . was appreciated by the Petone Salvation Army Home League recently. Mrs. Triplow, leader of the Hutt League, presided. Mrs. Lacey read the 23rd Psalm. The thought for the week was given by Mrs. Weggery; a vocal solo by Mrs. Blyth; vocal quartette, Mrs. Captain Rundle, Mrs. Glendenning, Mrs. Abraham and Mrs. Blyth; a poem by Mrs. Triplow.
Brigadier Mrs. Hughson spoke about "Devil Island," which used to be' the French penal settlement but had been handed over to the care of the Salvation Army by the French Government some years ago. A trio was sung by Mrs. Captain Rundle, Mrs. Blyth, and Mrs. Glendenning.
