TAITA WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

The monthly meeting was held in the Taita Hall in the 7th August, ,when the President welcomed many' visitors. Sister Institutes were well represented at the roll call, the auspicious occasion being: 'the eleventh birthday of the Taita branch. Most enjoyable items were contributed by Mesdames Sernie, Westbury, Halligan, and the choir, each of whom was presented with a floral spray. > A tastefully decorated cake with the customary candles was ceremoniously cut and dispensed. Clothing collected for UNRRA is being forwarded to the Lady Galway Guild. A splendid rhododendron exhibited by Mrs. W. Jackson was declared the best bloom.
