ST. STEPHEN'S WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION

The guest speaker for the August meeting of St. Stephen's Women's As sociation was Mrs. Blenkinsop, who .gave a most interesting talk on the work of the Braille Club for the blind. She spoke of the French teacher of the blind, Louis Braille, who invented the Braille type whicfi has remained the standard system right up,to the present day. A small machine, wonderfully constructed, consisting of six dots with variations of which it is possible to make sixty-three different combinations. Mrs. Taylor, a co-worker, axkibited the machine and gave a demonstration of its work.
