R.S.A. Notes

As the current financial year of the ilutt Valley U.S.A. draws to a close, certain seasonal events and functions are announced. Firstly, the annual re-union and smoke concert will take place in the club rooms 011 Friday, April 9th, when it is anticipated that a record attendance will be present. This will include, no doubt, a large, proportion of ex-servicemen returned lrom the present war. Further details of this popular evening will be announced next week. Then, of primary importance to all returned servicemen is the annual general meeting which will take place early in May. At this meeting will be elected the officers and executive committee who will control the destinies of the branch during the incoming year, and it therefore behoves every member to be present and exercise his right to select a strong and representative administrative body for 1943-1944. The dates of this meeting will be announced shortly. On Saturday, March 27th, a Diggers' Night will be held, when all : members, their wives and children 'are invited to take part in an evening of dancing, games, items and community singing. There is 110 ! charge for admission for diggers and their children, but wives are request ed to assist the cbmmittee by supply ing a plate ol' refreshments. The charge for visitors is one shilling. In conclusion the usual R.S.A. dance is being held on Thursday, March 18th in the club rooms.
