BUS DRIVERS' PICNIC
The Hutt Valley Road Services Club held another successful and enjoyable picnic at Maidstone Park last week when everyone had a most enjoyable day and all participated in sports and games organised by the committee. The results of the races were as follows: — 3 to 5 years: M. Fowler 1, D. Mossis 2, W. Payne 3. 5 to 7 years, girls: E. Smith 1, R. Trainer 2, K. Williams 3. 8 to 12 years, girls: J. Morris 1, M. Gray 2, D. Morris 3. 5 to 7 years, boys: J. Morris 1, D. McKenna 2, R. Gray 3. 8 to 12 years, boys: K. Trainer 1, S. Gray 2, A. Butler 3. Boys and girls three-legged race: K. Trainor and P. McKenna; D. and J. Morris, dead heat. 75 yards, single ladies: Miss M. Sheary 1, Miss D. Morris 2,. Miss E. Entwhistle 3. 75 yards, married ladies: Mrs. J. Day 1, Mrs. Jardin 2, Mrs Ede 3. 100 yards hurdle race: H. Swain 1, R. Lear 2, S. Ede 3. Ralays: Visitors' wives 1, Drivers wives 2. Men: Drivers .1, Visitors 2 Wheelbarrow race: Mr and Mrs. McDowell 1, Mrs Day and H. Swain 2. 100 yards, single men: H. Swain 1, R. Lear 2, R. Jardin 3. 100 yards married men: J. Fowler 1, B.
