TRAFFIC INSPECTOR INJURED

1 COLLISION IN HIGH STREET I I Serious injuries were received by Mr. Leslie Francis Moss, 151 Grafton Road, Roseneath, a traffic inspector employed by the Lower Hutt and Petone Borugh Councils, wh'en he was involved in a collision at the corner of High Street and Kings Crescent at 11.20 a.m. on Saturday. I Inspector Moss was travelling on his motor cycle behind a car going north and turning into Kings Crescent. He grazed the rear of this car and his motor cycle was thrown

out of control. He coliiued with a cyclist, Mrs. C. Graham, of Norton Park Avenue, then struck the rear of a stationary car, his motor cycle driving it 11 feet .along the road. He received severe head injuries. Mrs. Graham received bruises. Both the injured people were taken to hospital by the Free Ambulance. The condition of Traffic-Inspec-tor Moss was reported last night to be serious. Inspector Moss has been employed by the Petone and Lower Hutt Borough Councils for four months. Previously he was an inspector with the Wellington City Council.
