HUTT VALLEY HARRIERS

$ Over 80 members and supporters of the Wellington and Hutt Valley clubs attended a combined run, held from St. Thomas's Hall, Newtown, on Saturday. A fine trail of about five miles was followed and the result of the run-in over the last 300 yards was G. Rowberry 1, E. Chown 2, and R. Burns 3. At afternoon tea the president of Wellington club welcomed the visitors, Mr. Gough, Hutt Valley, replying. Next week the annuai contest for the Robbie Shield, a teams race, in which the first 12 of each club count for points, over a course of five miles, will be held at Hutt Park, Hutt Valley will endeavour to withstand the challenge of C.Y.M., and a close contest should result.
