HUTT CENTRAL SCHOOL FETE

The third garden fete in connection with the Hutt Central school will take place on Saturday next March 26th and will ibe opened by the Hon. WaKer Nash, who will be accompanied by the Minister of Education, the Hon. Peter Fraser.. The 'Committee have left no stone unturned in their efforts to make this year's function more successful than last. Features of the fete will be the Fancy Dress parade wihioh will be divided into two classes —one for children under 5 and one for children over 5. Prizes will be awarded in each class. There will also be imzes for the best decorated prams and cycles. The great favourite with the children "Charlie the Clown'' will be present to dispense mirth and joviality. Tho numerous stalls include ice cream, produce, fancy goods, jumble, cakes, sweets and books. Afternoon tea will be served in the class rooms. The headmaster will be in /attendance on Saturday morning to receive goods for tho various stalls. In the event of 'the weather Ibeing unfavourable, an announcement will be made from the Broadcasting Stations j at II a.m. and a sale of perishable | goods will be held iu the school. i
