St. Stephen's Hall, Moera, 011 Friday 25th inst. at 7.30 p.m. Bargains for all in clothing, etc. In our advertising columns will be found an advertisement concerning a Social and Dance under the auspices of the Parents' Association of the Hutt Valley Memorial Technical College. Last year these Ibright functions proved highly popular and the committee is confident that this season thfcy will be even more so. Harvest Thanksgiving Services are being held in the St. James's Parish next Sunday. The preacher at St. James's in the morning will be the I?ev. N. Owing to the prevalence of the Onehunga weed and the efforts to eradicate it 011 the Recreation iGround, top dressing operations are being carried out rather earlier than usual this year. With the precautions now being taken it is hoped that it will not foe necessary to take such drastic measures on the Recreation Ground.
