TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL.
PLAKS BEING PREPARED. | MINISTER ANXIOUS TO PROCEED WITH WORK. Further information in regard to the building of the technical high school in Levin was received at a meeting of the Levin Borough Council last evening, a letter mentioning that the Minister of Education (Hon. P. Fraser) was desirous of proceeding with the work. ' The communication read was from Mr. B. F. Kelly, the architect, who advised that he had received instructions from the Minister to proceed with the preparation of drawings and specifications, and to call tenders for the work. He forwarded a copy of the site plan and sought certain information on various matters, so that everything would conform with the borough bylaws. Mr. Kelly said the Minister was anxious to proceed with the work and, if necessary, he would visit Levin and confer with the council before finality was reached.
The council decided to ask Mr. Kelly to come to Levin and meet chairmans of the committees concerned, together with any councillors who could be present.
