STORM IN THE NORTH.
TOWN THREATENED WITH INUNDATION. TE AROHA Wednesday. Overnight Te Aroha experienced the worst storm in many years. Rain is still falling and country roads are under water. The Waihou River is rising at the rate of eighteen inches hourly and will soon overflow its banks. The flooding of the lower portions of the town is inevitable. During the night trees were uprooted; but no serious damage is reported.
