Canadian Railwaymen Don't Like Second Cut
STRIKE POLL TO BE TAKEN Received Sunday, 7 p.m. MONTREAL, Aug. 4. A genera) conference of the railway - men's committee announced on Friday that immediate steps were being taker, to hold a strike poll among 24,000 men of running trades on the Canadian National,and Canadian Pacific Railways. A vote will be taken among engineers, firemen, conductors, trainmen and telegraphists whether they will accept a second 'lO per cent, reduction in wages or walk out.
