American Bituminous Coal Strike to End
MEN GRANTED MINOR CONCESSIONS Received Sunday, 7 p.m. WASHINGTON, Aug. 5. Administration officials announced that a truce has been reached in the bituminous coal strike and the men are to return to work. They have been granted minor concessions, but will not have the right to form a union pending the formulation of a eode for the coal industry. The President also announced that he has appointed a commission to arbitrate in all industrial labour disputes calculated to interfere with the success of his recovery programme.
