Besults: September Handicap: Manawhenua 8.2 (Duncan), 1; Strength, 9.1 (Webster), 2; Philippic, 7.1 (Egli), 3. Seven started. Won, by half a head, threequarters of a length. Time, 2.24. Canterbury* Stakes: Holdfast, (Cook), 1: Green Sea, 8.13 (Pike), 2; Autopay, 9.2 (McCarten), 3. Nine started, including Gaine Carrington and Silver Eing, Won by a length and ahalf, a length. Silver Eing was seventn and Gaine Carrington last. Time, 1.13. Campsie Handicap: Confab, 8.2 (Hickey) 1; Lord Kennaquhair, 8.5 (Simpson), 2; King March, 9.9 (McCartein, •3 Twelve started, two lengths and three-quarters. Time, 1.5,55. New Zealanders unplaced in other events were Prince Pomba and Mungatoon in the Three-year-old Handicap, Trueshaft and Hunt The Slipper in the Flying Handicap, first division. Fourteen started, including King- Mart. Won by two lengths and a-half, a head. Segati was fourth and Euach next, then. Eastern Chief. Time, 1.56. Heatherlie Handicap: Thrawn, 8.7 (Jones), I; The Dawn Patrol, 7.7 (Bad* &er), 2; Taisho, 8.3 (Wilson), 3. Thirteen statred, including Lady Am. Won by three-quarters of a length, a head. Time, 2i6s. The New Zealanders, Eulanut and Oratory, were unplaced in tha Warriston .Handicap, and Actaeon in the Doona Trial. In the first division of the Whittier Handicap Araunah was unplaced.
