SOUTHERN FLIGHT DELAYED.

GALE UP AS MACHINES ABB READY TO START. AIRMEN HOPE TO REACH CHRISTCHURCH TO-NIGHT. {By Telegraph—Press Assoe-L tion). BLENHEIM, This Day. The fliers assembled at the Aerodrome at 6.30 a.m.-ready to hop off for Christchui*eh and the south, but a strong sou'-wester, .almost of gale force, sprang up while the machines were being tuned. The flight, therefore was postponed till the. wind moderates. The airmen will make every endeavour to reach Christchurch by to-night, and will not lightly abandon their southern tour from Christchurch. FLIERS REGBET INABILITY TO LEVIN IN ITINERARY.
