TE HORO DAIRY CO.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the Te Horo Co-operative Dairy Go., Ltd., was held last Friday evening, September 21st, in the Te Horo Hall. There was a good attendance, Mr. Har-kness being in the chair. After comparing the various accounts with-those of the previous year, he congratulated the suppliers on the position of the company and on the good prices realised on tlieir -produce sent on consignment to the -Home market. The number of suppliers had increased and the buildings had been kept in good order. There had been an increase in the quality of cheese manufactured and increased production tends to a reduction in overhead expenses, and efforts in this direction would incur increased prosperity. He said that extensive manuring would be necessary to keep the soil productive. The directors desired to express their .appreciation of the loyalty of the suppliers and of the way' they had worked harmoniously with them. The report and balancesheet were adopted. Mr. Lethbridge, the retiring director, was again elected, and Mr. X L. Arcus was appointed auditor. A vote of thanks was accorded to the manager, Mr. Kirker. and the staff for "their good work, and, a vote of thanks was also given to the directors.
