CLAIM AGAINST RACING CLUB.
ALLEGED INJURIES TO HORSE. i (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day. The Supreme Court is occupied with a claim for £IOOO damages by W. H. Wackrow, of Taumarunui, owner of the racehorse, Boomerday, arising from an accident on the second day of the Takapuna meeting on December Ist. Owing to heavy rain on the first day an alteration was made in the course, part of which was. fenced by flagged posts. The horse in front of Boomerday struck one of the t se posts which broke and a fragment struck Boomerday in the eye, the sight of which was destroyed. Plaintiff alleges negligence in fencing, which the Club denies/
