The Hawke’s Bay County Council advised that it was prepared fo cooperate in the supervision of the rubDish dump at Redelyffe. Permission was granted to the committee conducting the Health Stamp Campaign of the use of the board room tor the holding of meetings. Information in connection with the Government housing scheme was received from the manager of the State Advances Corporation.—The chairman stated that the board was not in a position to erect a number of houses for renting purposes. Experience had shown that the scheme that the board carried out itself was difficult enough and he felt that the new housing scheme would lie a great deal worse. It wns finally decided to seek 'information regarding the possibility of the board being able to erect a house under the scheme for a caretaker on the camping ground at Otatara. The clerk and overseer again reported upon further damage being done to the flower beds ut the park entrance by stray dugs. Every effort was being made to catch the dogs concerned so that proceedings could be taken against their 'owners. The dogs were evidently being let loose early in oho mornings and the damage done beJvim many people were about. The chairman said that it was to tie regretted that mote co-operation was not being shown by some of the residents who were the owners of dogs in assisting to prevent damage being thine to the flower beds which had been kept in most attractive order.
