KING RECITES POEM AT LEGION FESTIVAL

There was a dramatic moment at the great British Legion festival at the Albert HaU the Armistice ceremony, when the King, standing alone in the Boyal box recited the poignant verse from Laurence Binyon’s poem beginning: “They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.” It was the first, time since the Armistice that a reigning monarch has publicly recited this verse. Mr Binyon was occupying an adjoining box and heard the iKing recite his lines.
