Better Prices for Quality Lines MOST OF LOTS SMALL An exceptionally short yarding of store cattle was made at Stortford nature. Extra well-grown Aberdeen market prevailed for any quality lines. Practically all the lots were small, many of them being of a miscellaneous nature. Extra well-grown Aberdeen Angus yearlings made the splendid value of £7 1/-, while a good line of two-year-olds realised £8 5/-. Very few grown bullocks were offered, and as they were lacking *n quality n< opinion of the market for cattle could be formed. Cows in good eon jition, with calves at f oot, made to £7 18/-. The market can be gauged from the following values tor selected entries;— An entry of 33 empty fair-framed Aberdeen Angus-Hereford cross cows, in quite good order, brought £5 15/-. A useful line of Aberdeen AngusHereford cross cows, with calves at foot, made £7 18/-. On account of Mr F. McKenzie, an entry of yearling Aberdeen AngusHereford cross steers, well grown and forward, made £7. A smaller grown line of similarly bred yearling steers, in forward order, made £6 10/-. A line of Aberdeen Angus cross young cows with calves at foot made £7 17/6. An extra well-grown line of yearling Aberdeen Angus steers in very forward order made £7 1/-. From the same vendor, a smallgrown line of similar bred three-year-old steers made £8 5/-. In from Kereru, 14 forward well grown Aberdeen Angus-Hereford cross steers brought £8 5/.
