FLAGS AND BUNTING
Coronation Decorations
An opportunity of procuring a supply of streamers, flags and other decorative materials at a very favourable price for use in the coronation services was taken recently by the Mayor of Hastings, Mr. G. A. Maddison. Mr. Maddison reported to the Borough Council last evening that he had placed an order for £25 worth, as he considered it advisable to put in the order early as there would be a great demand for such material as the time for the ceremonies drew near.
The Mayor mentioned that the goods were British-made, being manufactured at Manchester, and that there would be sufficient material available to decorate the Municipal Buildings, the Municipal Theatre and the Women’s Rest. The Mayor’s action was confirmed.
