Night-Long Efforts to Free Three Men MINISTER JOINS RESCUERS (Received 22. 10.40 a.m.) MOOSE RIVER, April 21. Volunteers were called for after an all-night dogged battle to break through solid rock and the workers were exhausted. Ten Stellarton coalminers, all single men, responded. The imprisoned men are still alive, but are weaker. Communication has been maintained with them. The Provincial Minister of Mines, Mr. Dwyer, is himself digging. He says that rescue is believed to be a matter of hours. (Earlier message on page 8.)
